FFA Security Group Proud to Support the Consortium for the Prevention of Suicide

At FFA Security Group, we believe that everyone has a role to play in preventing suicide - including the corporate and business world. That’s why we’re proud to support the Consortium for the Prevention of Suicide, a collective of organisations working together to address suicide as a shared social responsibility.

Led by Samaritans, the Consortium brings together businesses, public bodies, and third-sector organisations who are committed to using their platforms, resources, and innovation to help prevent suicide and reduce its devastating impact.

Suicide Prevention Is a Collective Responsibility

Every year, thousands of lives are lost to suicide—many of them preventable. The trauma experienced by those left behind is immense, and often overlooked. The Consortium recognises that suicide is not solely a healthcare or crisis issue. It’s a societal issue - one that requires joined-up action across all sectors.

The Consortium Covenant is a public commitment signed by all members, reflecting shared values of openness, compassion, and collaboration. At FFA Security Group, we are proud to be part of a network that takes this responsibility seriously and acts with purpose.

Why We Joined

As a security consultancy focused on safeguarding and people-first risk management, we are often called to support individuals and teams at vulnerable moments. We’ve seen how suicide risk can be misunderstood, missed, or stigmatised—and how preventable some tragedies could have been with the right systems and culture in place.

We believe that business should be a force for good. By supporting the Consortium, we are aligning ourselves with organisations that don’t just talk about change - but work together to drive it.

What the Consortium Does

The Consortium for the Prevention of Suicide exists to:

  • Create a shared responsibility for suicide prevention

  • Unlock innovation and resources within the corporate sector

  • Convene cross-sector partners to tackle the epidemic of suicide

  • Inspire change in policy, practice, and public conversation

  • Support members with best practice, collaboration, and lived experience insight

Members have access to events, peer learning, and opportunities to meaningfully contribute to suicide prevention efforts across the UK.
